This Refund & Privacy Policy explains how DiagoMedia (“DiagoMedia”, “we”, “us”) handles refunds for our content marketing services and how we collect, use, and protect personal information. If you have any questions, email us at info@diagomedia.com.
Part 1: Refund Policy
1. Scope
This policy applies to all services we provide, including content strategy, SEO and editorial, social content, brand storytelling, and content audits, whether delivered as a monthly retainer or a fixed-scope project. Where a signed proposal or agreement sets different terms, that document takes priority.
2. Deposits
- Projects usually begin once a deposit, as stated in the proposal, has been received.
- Deposits secure our team’s time and cover discovery, planning, and early production. They are non-refundable once work has started, unless we are unable to deliver the agreed services.
- If you cancel before any work has started, we will refund the deposit less any costs already incurred on your behalf (for example, third-party tools or licences purchased for your project).
3. Retainer cancellations
- Retainers can be cancelled with at least 30 days’ written notice to info@diagomedia.com, unless your agreement states a different notice period.
- Fees for the notice period remain payable, and we will continue to deliver the agreed work during that period.
- Retainer fees for a month that has already started are not refundable, but any unused, prepaid months beyond the notice period will be refunded.
4. Project cancellations
- You may cancel a project at any time by notifying us in writing.
- You will be charged for work completed up to the date of cancellation, based on the milestones or rates in your proposal. Any amount you have paid above that will be refunded.
5. Work already delivered
Work that has been delivered and approved, or delivered and not disputed within 10 business days, is not refundable. If you believe a deliverable does not meet the agreed brief, tell us promptly; we will first work with you on reasonable revisions before any refund is considered.
6. How to request a refund
Email info@diagomedia.com with the subject line “Refund Request” and include:
- Your name and company
- The project or retainer concerned and the relevant invoice number
- The amount requested and the reason for your request
We will acknowledge your request within 3 business days and give you a decision within 10 business days.
7. Processing time
Approved refunds are paid to the original payment method, or by bank transfer, within 14 business days of approval. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to make the funds available. Bank or transfer charges are not refundable.
Part 2: Privacy Policy
8. Who we are
DiagoMedia is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and related regulations.
9. Information we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, company name, and the message you send us.
- Client information: contact and billing details and the materials you share with us while we work together.
- Technical data: your IP address, browser type, and device information, which are recorded automatically by our web server and hosting provider.
10. How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and send proposals you request
- To deliver, manage, and invoice our services
- To keep the website secure and working properly
- To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations
We rely on your consent, the performance of a contract, our legitimate interests, or legal obligations as the lawful basis for processing. We do not sell your personal information, and we will not add you to marketing lists without your consent.
11. Cookies and third parties
- Cookies: this website uses only the essential cookies WordPress needs to function. We do not use advertising cookies.
- Google Fonts: our pages load fonts from Google. When they load, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address. Google’s use of that data is covered by Google’s own privacy policy.
- Hosting: our website is hosted by a third-party hosting provider that stores website data and server logs on our behalf.
- Email: contact form messages are delivered to our business inbox by email.
Some of these providers may process data outside Nigeria. Where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information receives adequate protection, as the NDPA requires.
12. How long we keep information
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 12 months.
- Client records and invoices: for the length of our relationship and up to 6 years afterwards, to meet legal and tax requirements.
- Server logs: as long as our hosting provider keeps them, usually a short period.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it securely or anonymise it.
13. Your rights under the NDPA
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to:
- Be told how your personal data is used
- Access a copy of your personal data
- Have inaccurate data corrected
- Have your data deleted where there is no reason for us to keep it
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC)

14. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and restricted access, to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the effective date shown at the top.
